Hiking Routes and Nature Trails
The scenery of the Kolovesi region is characterised by hills, forests and numerous lakes and it is exceptionally suitable for hiking.

In recent years, the municipalities and village societies of the region have invested in the establishing of new hiking routes and the refurbishment of those existing. Of these, perhaps the most interesting are the 18 kilometre Luostarivaellus® hiking route in Heinävesi and the Olavinlampi -routes in Enonkoski. The most popular of nature trails is the 3.3 kilometre Nahkiassalo trail in the national park of Kolovesi.
